In case you missed it, August 8th was National CBD Day!
And a happy CBD Day to you too!
To celebrate, over the past month, DankGeek CBD has been tracking Twitter conversations all over the country to gauge interest in CBD in every state. After reviewing over 165,000 tweets, we were able to generate a comprehensive map identifying the states with the most CBD-related discussions.
As seen in the map above, when it comes to CBD, Florida has certainly been an early adopter! According to our data, approximately 19% of all tweets related to our beloved cannabidiol originated in Florida. After Florida, interest in CBD was greatest in Colorado followed closely by Oregon and Missouri.
Overall, the states with the most CBD-related tweets were:
As you can see, with the exception of Florida, Connecticut, and Vermont, the majority of the interest in CBD is concentrated in the western part of the country. As successful cannabis legalization efforts have spread across the West Coast, it is unsurprising that these populations have had the most opportunity to learn about CBD as a therapeutic, non-psychoactive alternative to THC. Nevertheless, interest is growing all across the country. In fact, according to a recent Forbes article, the market for CBD is expected to grow 49% annually over the next few years, reaching up to $20 billion by 2024. We can't wait!
Finally, we would also like to take this opportunity to thank our readers and customers for their continued support of DankGeek CBD! We look forward to sharing more interesting research and knowledge with our community as CBD gains even more traction across the country.
